Estate found fresh, the gun is .54 cal., overall very nice patina, there is a slight tight minor crack to wood behind the lock plate (measures 1 1/2" long), this is a model 1842 that is dated 1846, complete with two cartouche marks on the gun stock left hand side, the bore has slight rust & pitting (nothing major), to us the gun looks to be all original, overall length is 15", the lock is crisp, gun locks at half and full cock, the gun has a nice feel.
