Estate found fresh, scarce gun to find, the gun is .54 cal., overall nice patina, some pitting on the barrel up near the pan, this gun has steel and not brass hardware, there looks to be a small wood repair on the underside of this gun in between the barrel band and in front of the trigger guard, if this was a repair it was nicely done, this is a model 1836 that is dated 1837, complete with one cartouche mark on the gun stock left hand side (this mark is somewhat faint), the bore has slight rust & pitting (nothing major), to us the gun looks to be all original, overall length is 13", the action works fine at half and full cock.
