Description:
30-06, serial number 12287XX. Custom sporter made by AO Neidner, Dowagiac MI. 1920-30’s era. Springfield receiver retaining Springfield serial number. Standard tang Lyman 48 right side of receiver. Neidner barrel with Dowgiac markings. Neidner ramp front sight. Barrel appears to have been cut by about 1/8", not sure why or by whom. Shows hunting wear on receiver, barrel retaining 90% blue, receiver retaining 80% blue. Floorplate and trigger guard retaining 70% blue. Bore is excellent, throat shows wear. Classic pre-war walnut stock. Multipoint checkering with black forend tip and pistol grip cap (possible buffalo horn). LOP 13” to wood, 13 3/8” to early style Mershon recoil pad. Forward sling swivel base missing, rear sling swivel base intact. Wood shows hunting and shooting wear. Overall very nice, classic rifle. More photos on request.
