EARLY PYTHON .357 MAGNUM, 6" BARREL, BLUE, APPEARS ABOUT UNFIRED WITH ORIGINAL WOOD GRAIN COLT BOX, #39XXX, MADE 1964. Everything is correct and original on this one including the grip style- which was changed in 1963 from full checkering around the medallions to being smooth walnut around this area with a slight thumb rest on the left side. Gorgeous 1960s high luster blue, barely even a hint of a cylinder drag line, just about as nice as one could hope to find. The two piece box shows normal light scuffing, but is sound and has the correct end label. This is a 54 year old Python in remarkable condition that qualifies as a Curio and Relic. Considered by Colt aficionados as the finest hand fitted revolver ever made. NOTE: anything in the photos that looks like blue wear is simply light reflection off oil. There is no blue wear on this Python.
