STEVENS MODEL 425 HIGH POWER LEVER ACTION RIFLE IN DESIRABLE .35 REMINGTON CALIBER, #12XX. These extremely high quality lever action rifles were only made in limited numbers by Stevens from 1910 - 1917 and just don't seem to pop up for sale often. Those that do usually seem to be in very hard used condition. They were made in .25; .30; .32 and .35 Remington Rimless calibers. This .35 Remington caliber example shows excellent deep blue on the receiver (some minor wear on the bottom front edge), exc. blue on the 22" barrel and correct 2/3 magazine. Has the original buckhorn and blade sights, barrel marked with the Stevens address, 1910 patent date, "Nickel Steel" and "High Power" stamping etc. Bore is exc. and has the distinctive original Stevens checkered crescent butt plate. Fine+ wood shows only a few light handling marks. Definitely one of the better ones I've seen in a long while. Many collectors don't know that Stevens ever made a lever action rifle!
