Description:
Savage Deluxe Engraved Takedown Model 99 Rifle.Cal: 300 Savage. SN: 33882x 24"bbl marked "HIGH-PRESSURE STEEL PROOF TESTED", "SAVAGE ARMS CORPORATION UTICA, NY MADE IN USA", "300 SAVAGE". Scroll engraved action sides/top and barrel. Case color hardened lever. Lyman folding peep sight. Nicely figured walnut capped pistol grip stock and forened with checkered sidepanels. Steel buttplate.
Condition: Gun is in its original and excellent overall condition. Bore clean and brite with strong rifling. Virtually all blue remains on barrels and slightly thinning on receiver bottom. Lever retains most all of its vibrant case color with flaking varnish in spots and slightly shined lever bottom end. Original varnish on wood with no dings and slight flaking/loss of varnish on forend. Engraving crisp and sharp throughout.
