Inv. 6859 Smith & Wesson Vcitory U.S.Navy Cal. .38 Spec., Ser. V191884. A really great find for the military collector. A beautiful condition Victory model with original U.S. Navy markings on the top strap.
The original Parkerizing is conservatively 98%. The only little loss there is from sharp edge silvering and some flaking on the topstrap from holster wear. That's about it. Typically these were issued to pilots and this one does not look like it was ever fired.
The case colored trigger and hammer are also at least 98%. The cylinder drag ring is almost non-existant, All parts are correct and original to the gun. The wood grips have about 85+% of the original factory finish with no chips or spits. The chambers, force cone and recoil plate have show no indication of wear. The barrel like the rest of the gun is pristine. The bore is mirror bright, razor sharp without the slightest touch of frost.
