Description:
This is a nice example of a rework Springfield M1Garand. The receiver is dated to March of 1943. The bolt was replaced to an H&R bolt as shown in pictures. Barrel although Springfield manufactured is not the original one with the gun. The stock has also been replaced but is in great condition with no cracks and tight fit around the gun. Being that the barrel was replaced later in the rifles life, rifling is very strong and bore is tight. Bolt has been checked for proper headspacing and all mechanical parts function flawlessly. We do not test fire our guns but we always check older rifles for proper and safe mechanical function. This would make a great shooter rifle for someone looking to get a great M1 Garand for prices lower than that of a CMP example. Even in its current state it would also make a collectable item as we see the rise in demand and subsequently the price of these guns.
