The Winchester model 70 had an iconic place in American sporting culture and had been held in high regard by shooters since it was introduced in 1936, earning the nickname “The Rifleman’s Rifle”.
The action on a Model 70 has some design similarities to Mauser designs.
This rifle is chambered in 7mm, and still sports its factory iron sights as well as a Leupold 3X9 Vari-X II scope.
