Double action with 6 shot cylinder. British proofs. One piece checkered walnut grip/ The original bright blued finish is 'flaking' overall, approx 60% remaining. Mechanically in excellent condition with a crisp action and tight lock-up. Marked on the barrel 'Hills Patent' and on the other "The Stanley". Marked on the right side of the frame under the cylinder 'Joint Patent' over 'Stanton & Co' over the serial number. The left side of the frame is marked with a winged logo over 'Trade Mark'. This revolver has a unique hinged barrel assembly, raising the barrel upwards engages two large hooks which engage the etractors to empty the cylinder. -Antique- Includes what appears to be the original wooden display/storage compartmentalized storage box, complete with key and an old octagonal glass oil bottle.
