Description:
.44-90S, #3335, 34 inch octagon barrel, blue and case color finish, walnut stock and forearm, checkered pistol grip stock, tang sight, windage spirit level globe front sight, steel schnabel forearm cap,

According to "Remington Rolling Block Rifles, Carbines & Shotguns" by Roy Marcot, page161, this rifle is 2 numbers off the Creedmoor given to George Custer in 1875 (#3333).  It also states that, at the time of writing, there were only 3 known full octagon Creedmoors.  As this rifle came out of an old collection in Canada, I don't know if this was included in  the 3 or not.

Condition:very good bore, 95% barrel blue thinning, traces of silvering case color on receiver, excellent wood, excellent mechanically, excellent marks.
