CIVIL WAR SAVAGE U.S. NAVY MODEL .36 CAL. PERCUSSION REVOLVER CIRCA 1861 WITH HOLSTER. 6 shot with 7” octagon barrel. Savage Repeating Fire Arms Co., Middletown, Ct. address and 1859 and 1860 patent dates on top strap. Frame and barrel stamped with “W” Govt. Ordnance Inspector’s stamp and left grip with visible Govt. Ordnance Inspector’s acceptance cartouche. All original, matching and complete. Dark patina mixed evenly with minor blue overall. Fine grips with the original finish. Very good bore and in perfect, tight working order. Very nice looking example. Later brown leather form fitting flap holster stamped “USA”.
