This sword is characterized by its saber hilt and straight blade. The blade is double fullered. The folding guard and grip each bear Imperial German regalia like the eagle with Emperor Wilhelm the Second’s “II” on each. Leather and wire portapee is original and in good shape. This was worn by infantry officers through World War I. The overall condition is very good. The length of the blade is 30 inches. The wire wrap on the grip remains complete and tight. The bronze bears a dark patina. The blade retains 90% of its nickel finish. The scabbard is in very good shape as well. Own the original! This is a legitimate antique and not a reproduction.
