#18641, A Krieghoff (Sempert & Krieghoff) 16 x 16 x 8-57JR Drilling, Suhl Made in 1936 with Their Patented Hand Detachable Trigger Group, An Original 22 Long Rifle insert that is 8 1/4" with the wrench to tighten plus engraved "Sempert & Krieghoff" and it fits in the buttstock, 23 3/4" Rochling Elektro steel barrels with rib extension & a crossbolt at .677 .027 & .030" (Full & Full), 2 3/4" chambers, Original claw mounts with a rail mounted German 4x Jena scope, Solid rib with 1 folding & 1 standing rear sight that is actuated with the top tang rifle barrel selector, The standing sight is cut to work with the shot barrels, Bolstered frame, Side clip action body, Scalloped frame, Cocking indicators, The front trigger is a set trigger, Krieghoff patented hand detachable trigger group with a rotating grip cap that secures a lever to remove the trigger group after unscrewing the lever forward of the trigger guard, The cartridge trap in the bottom of the buttstock line holds 12 each 22 LR cartridges, The trapdoor buttplate holds the factory 22 LR insert barrel plus the wrench to secure it in the barrel, It also has room for 2 each 8x57R cartridges, Horn trigger guard, 90% engraving coverage, 14 3/4" LOP over the trapdoor buttplate, This piece is 7 lbs. 5 oz. without the scope and 8 lbs. 3 oz. with the scope, The original barrel blue at 95%, The original frame finish at 92%, The buttstock has been re-oiled but I am certain not sanded and it remains at 98%, The original checkering both fore & aft is at 99%, The shotgun bores are excellent plus & the rifle bore is also excellent plus, This is a doggone solid Drilling that laid around a whole lot more than it went hunting in the 82 years it has been around. There is plenty of Sellier & Bellot 8x57JR ammo that can be bought from a whole bunch of distributors.
