Here we present a DWM Model 1906 American Eagle Luger Semi-Automatic Pistol made circa 1906 in Berlin. This Luger pistol was made for the American market as DWM was trying to introduce it to the world, especially to foreign militaries. It was well-received. This American Eagle model features a federal eagle on the top of the chamber. It comes chambered in the original Luger cartridge, called .30 Luger in the U.S., known as 7.65x21mm Luger in Europe.
This one is marked “DWM” on top of the toggle. The front of the toggle has an American Eagle emblem on it. This pistol features a grip safety and a slender, tapered barrel.
The overall condition is fair. About 40% of the original blue finish remains. The markings are clear and legible. Numbers match. Safety spring is weak and the safety lever does not return. Grips are altered at the rear. Action is strong otherwise. Bore is clean with good rifling.
