PENDING A nice Big Frame Smith & Wesson Double Action. A First Model
.44 Russian caliber that remains in wonderful condition inside-out! It was returned to the Factory for Refinishing 100 years ago, in February of 1918 - note the '2.18’ date under the left grip, and a star after the 16501 Serial Number. Smith & Wesson First Model Double Action Revolver, with a 6” barrel, Nickel Finish, checkered black hard rubber grips.
Sharp Markings, Crisp Action, and the Original grips are number to another S&W. . Great for re-enactors or collectors.
