Description:
This is a Colt 1861 Navy-Navy Richards Mason Conversion and is matching serial numbers 4641. The mechanical function is very good crisp and tight. The bore is very good with strong rifling but does have some fine corrosion in the grooves. It is inspector marked R.W.M. with an anchor on the barrel bottom. There is also an anchor stamped on the barrel top just forward from the cylinder face. The cylinder still has 65% cylinder scene. This is a nice example of an inspector marked Navy-Navy Richards Mason Conversion to 38 centerfire.
