Pre 64 Winchester M70 with custom stock in the timeless 30-06 ACKLEY IMPROVED. 24” barrel is recontoured to light sporter configuration with all factory markings removed. Action has the rear tang screw hole welded closed for smooth appearance, built up and checkered bolt release, follower and bolt jeweled. All metal including scope bases and rings fresh matt bluing by Eagle Arms of Albuquerque. All metal prep is hand finished, no polishing.
Classic style English Walnut stock without cheekpiece. 13 ¾” LOP over a .6” Pachmayr Olde English pad. Gabon Ebony forend tip, point pattern checkering that wraps around the forearm. Jerry Fisher single screw steel pistol grip cap, sling eyes on stock. Stock has wide fiddleback stripes running full length of stock. Hand rubbed linseed oil finish. Rifle is glass bedded.
Leupold 3-9 variable scope with duplex reticle in Conetrol rings and bases.
