Offered here is a pristine example of a Hi Standard Mod.102 Supermatic Citation, nicknamed "The Space Gun". This example is a Hamden, CT produced pistol made c.1959 (ser.# 1086XXX). This pistol was produced at the height of Hi Standard quality, and has been lauded by many as one of the most accurate 22 pistols ever made.The pictures don't do it full justice.
I dislike the word mint (it has been fired), so I will only grade it 99+ plus overall. In the hand, the bluing is perfect, as are the period correct Herritt walnut grips.The flats, curves, and tangents are flawless. I think this quality of manufacturing is,sadly, gone forever. The pistol has absolutely no functionig or mechanical issues, and a perfect bore.
No box or paperwork, but comes with both barrel weights, muzzle brake and their allen wrenches, and two magazines - one orig. HS, and oe aftermarket.
