Item Description:
Colt .36 caliber, 7.5" barrel, S/N 50139 (ca. 1856). Visible and wedge numbers matching. Clean finish with plain wood grips. Top of barrel marked with one-line New York Colt address. Left side of frame marked with two-line patent dates over faint, "U.S." marking. Top of barrel cut for missing rear sight block. Includes correct nicely tooled holster.
Condition: Fair. Some removed pitting. Some rust and pitting under hammer. Grips show some wear and missing portion around corner of butt. Action functions normally and cylinder indexes well. Lockup is tight. Bore is fair. Some pitting and light rust. Rifling is quite visible with some rounded edges to lands.
