Description:
nice early Mauser Sporter, Marked Mauser Obenforf on side of receiver., barrel is octagon, caliber marking on bottom is 7,86 8,2 .240has an H and M intertwined logo on bottom of barrel and on buttplate. Claw mounts look to have be added after rifle was finished (dovetails in the white). Recelver, stock, barrel, ejector, sights and trigger have matching numbers, Bolt is a K98 military replacement (waffen marked). very nicely blued. Stock shows minor wear including two shallow spots on checkpeice. Bore is nice and bright, measure .323 at muzzle.
