Description:

Colt 45ACP Kit .45ACP caliber pistol. Rare Colt Auto shipped in 1964 to Master gunsmith John Giles. Giles, along with Clark and others, led the charge on making the 1911 the most accurate it could be. Giles also helped the U.S. Army with the program in the 1960's at Camp Perry as well as the Navy and Air Force in their programs. The ""Kit"" gun was a result of many pistolsmiths request to Colt to send them unassembled so they could build them into Match guns. No sights were provided by Colt. This gun has the full rib with extended sight, to get a longer sight picture. Only 1064 were made. Bore is nice. Gun is very good.
