Description:
Lots of goodies on this rifle including the rarely seen 26" oct bbl, uncheckered pistol grip stock, metal nipple top buttplate, cal 44 and to top it all off it falls in the antique serial range. Good looking rifle with 80%+ blue remaining on the bbl. There are some spots of oxidation, mostly towards the muzzle of the gun. Likely from poor storage. All blue does show through. Very nice markings. Good blue on the receiver also with some areas of light oxidation from storage. Has some serration lines which are aging line. Looks very nice. Still has a lot of case color on the lever and hammer. Wood is good overall and lightly sanded and re-finished. Shy at the toe and slightly shy at the tangs. Forearm wood is in nice condition also. A Cody Research Form confirms the configuration.
