Colt SAA MODEL 1873 Cavalry "ARTILLERY" Revolver. Serial #7396 in Custer range. All matching numbers except barrel is #7398. Barrel does show the die break in the fonts on "o" in Co. and the "A" in "Hartford". Grip is R.A.C. inspected with some chips missing at the toe. all other parts have the "A" Ainsworth inspection markings. Good action .Has a 5.5" barrel with a very good bore. Metal is dark brown patina with some blue mixed in. The side of the ejector housing shows some light erosion.Kopec catalogs the artilleries with just the barrels changed in his definitive work on the subject and are somewhat scarcer than completely mixed artillery models. .Buyer pays $25.00 shipping to lower 48 states.
