Description:
Serial #37528, .41 RF, 2 1/2" barrel with a fine, bright bore that has some minor freckling within the grooves. This is a ca. 1910-made pistol that has retained 80-85% of the original nickel finish that has some underlying bronze visible along the exposed portions of the frame, as well as scattered spots of dark freckling on the barrel. The underside of the barrel has London proofmarks. The screws retain fairly bright fire blue, while the hammer and trigger have traces remaining and the balance turned plum-brown. The walnut grips are in fine shape with scattered small handling marks and minor blemishes in the original varnish finish. The barrel lock-up is still tight, and the action functions flawlessly. This is a very nice Colt 3rd Model Deringer, and would make a fine addition to a collection. FFL or C&R
