Description:
This rare 1855 rifle came out of the Los Angeles area in the early 1990's as I bought it from George Juno. He would advertise and buy out of Hotels and Motels. This rifle had a piece of leather wrapped around the wrist area to keep it together and shows saddle wear on left buttstock. The .58 bore is good with rifling and the pitting is around the nipple at breech. The barrel is strongly marked with the date 1858 and V P and eaglehead. The lockplate has strong markings and the early date of 1857. The ram rod is an exact reproduction which I forgot to photograph. The stock shows heavy wear but metal is nice.
Except for the ram rod the gun is all original and guaranteed for life.
