Description:
This Colt Model 1873 SAA U.S. Cavalry comes with "Kopec" letter, stating that it was Manufactured in 1883 for the United States Government . The letter states that it is "Truly a fine example"., showing no signs of, or attempts at fakery.concerned. Barrel with Walnut stocks. Serial #95758. The revolver is chambered for .45 Colt. The top of the barrel reads “COLT’S PT.F.A.MFG.CO.HARTFORD, CT U.S.A.” The left side of the frame is marked “PAT.SEPT.19.1871/JULY 2.72. /JAN 19.75”. , followed by "U.S.".
The overall condition is blue/brown patina finish. Shows some remnants of "case coloring" on the frame and hammer. Markings are clear and legible. All serial numbers match, including the cylinder, which bears the last 4 digits "5758", of the serial number. The walnut grip is in very good condition, showing very few handling marks and a small chip on right side at toe.Also the butt end shows damage from being used as a "Tack driver". .Both sides of grip display light "cartouches" markings. The bore is excellent showing strong rifling and "Bright". The action is strong and indexes properly.Buyer Pays $25.00 shipping to the lower 48 states.
