Has all the original lock parts. Full length maple stock and original wood rod. Brass mounts including the scaled down Brown Bess style trigger guard and butt plate. Large oval silver wrist plate as well as a small silver “heart”. Very old period of use wrist repair using square head nails which is quite handsome and adds a lot of character to the gun. Metal with aged original patina and stock with old handling patina. Lock in working order and dark bore. Richard Wilson was the nest known of the early to mid 18th Century trade gun maker’s. Richard Wilson’s customers included both the Hudson’s Bay Company and the East India Company as well as being a contractor to Royal Ordnance.
