SCARCE COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER .44-40 CAL. 7 ½” TRANSITION BLACK POWDER REVOLVER SHIPPED TO TAMPA, FLORIDA IN 1896. All original and matching “antique” Frontier in the 163,xxx serial range. Factory records state it was shipped January 21, 1896 to Knight & Wall of Tampa, Florida as a blue, hard rubber 7 ½” .44-40. Barrel with roll die “COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER” marking and correct block letter address. Good patent date stamping on frame with Colt Logo as well. Has all the original parts and screws as well as the grips. Original grey patina and very good plus overall. Grips with light wear. Perfect working order and very good bore. Knight & Wall was one of the largest firms in Tampa and was also known as a major exporter to Havana, Cuba. Very scarce shipping destination. Factory letter on order.
