Description:
Alex Henry 450 BPE. This rifle was likely made for use on a ship. It was definitely put to work. The action locks tight and with the right load, the “frosted” bore shoots very well. Some pitting in the bore, about 20% blue, no case colors. Comes with dies. 450 Nitro Express Brass is correct for it but this is a Black Powder Rifle. Do not shoot or load Nitro/smokeless in it. I use 330gr. Gould bullets from the Lyman mound paper patched to .464 with110 grains of 1 1/2 Swiss BP. Really fun to shoot. $1500 or make me a reasonable cash offer.
