This Colt was produced in 1888. The pistol's serial number is 126078. It is fitted with a 4 3/4 inch barrel. The back strap does not match this pistol. The Colt hard rubber grips are also a replacement. The action works well on all cocks. The timing is very good. The base pin is the correct style for the black powder frame. The bore and cylinders are in very decent condition. This is a shooter grade pistol that will shoot well with black powder ammunition. The overall finish on this Colt is silvery with worn surface. This pistol shows hard use but will still shoot today with proper ammunition. All black powder pistols should be checked by a knowlegeable gunsmith before attempting to shoot these old Colts.
