Description:

WWII Nazi GERMAN Marked SPANISH Star B Pistol

SCARCE in the Correct Number Range for Wermacht

Here we present a Nazi German Marked Spanish Star Model B Pistol, made circa 1943 in Eibar, Spain. Hungry for small arms due to limited manufacturing capabilities and natural resources, Germany sought small arms from neutral Spain as well as from countries that it occupied (Czech, Poland, France, Belgium). The Spanish Star B virtually copied John Moses Browning’s Model 1911 and Hi-Power pistols. The magazine holds 8 shots of 9mm.

This pistol was shipped to the Wermacht. The left side of the slide is marked “STAR-SA/CONTINUADORA DE/B ECHEVERRIA/EIBAR/ESPANA/CAL 9M/M”. The serial number is located on the bottom of the heel. The right rear of the frame bears an “Eagle/WaA251” WaffenAmt. The left side of the frame bears Spanish proof marks of “N” and a knight’s helmet and shield. The left side of the trigger guard bow bears a “P” inside a bomb. The left rear of the slide and barrel are also marked “P” inside a bomb. The right side of the frame, slide, and barrel are all numbered “3099”. The toe of the magazine is marked “SPAIN”.

The overall condition is good. The steel bears traces of original blue finish with a mixed patina making up the balance. The markings are clear. The numbers match. The original wood grips show good honest wear. The bore is sharp and bright. The action is excellent. Here is a very scarce and desirable German pistol from World War II!
