#4942 Winchester 1873 OBFMCB standard 24” barrel length and trigger, 44WCF, 2nd Variation , 59XXX(1880), smooth action, about a 6 bore and should clean to about a 7. It does have medium wear, some light scale and light pitting the entire length, but is at least average or better than most ‘73s in this overall same condition. It looks like it should spin a bullet well and be reasonably accurate to at least 75-100 yards, but that’s just a somewhat educated guess on my part since neither the former owner or myself have ever fired it. The exterior is a crisp edged even smooth grayish-brown patina with VG markings and above average metal. G-VG wood that shows the lights and dings of 134 years of use, but does have inch long slivers at the front of the forearm on both sides. Nothing special here, but a decent overall appearance and a considerably better condition than most of the usual no-finish ’73 in this price range. Correct 1st-2nd Model open buckhorn rear sight and pinched blade front sight. About VG+. $2175
