Description:
Browning Safari grade .222 Remington Magnum rifle manufactured in 1965. This is one of only 6,000 Vixen actioned rifles manufactured. They were made in calibers .222 Remington and .222 Rem. Mag., therefore if production numbers are split equally, there would be only 3,000 available in each caliber. My experience has been, there are more .222 Rem. calibers than magnums. There may be fewer than 2,000 available in this caliber. Heavy barrel is 24 inches long. Stock is of nice grade walnut with color and grain. Metal blueing and wood condition would both rate 98-99%. The wood has few small handling marks. The scope is a Leupold straight 24X, 1/8 min dot,1 inch tube, mounted in hard to find vintage Redfield rings/mount. The rifle is all original and is a very nice varmint rifle. Cartridge cases are available and can be formed from .204 Ruger cases. I can send more photos if you wish.
