European Antique VELODOG Style Pocket Revolver
Folding Trigger Pocket Revolver in 7.65mm
Here we present a Velodog-style Revolver, made circa 1898 in Europe. The Velodog was a French design by Charles-François Galand specifically made for carry by cyclists to defend themselves against dogs. In fact, the name “Velodog” combines the word “Velocipede” with “Dog”, which is quite interesting. It was copied & produced all over Europe into the beginning of the 20th Century for the purpose of self-defense.
It features a small size, and folding trigger. This one has an exposed hammer. Overall condition is good. Original nickel finish is 90%. The grips show significant use. The bore is sharply rifled and clean. The action is strong.
