Description:
26" round bbl, full mag and crescent butt plate. An early 86 at just under 30k serial range. Gun has nice smooth metal with mostly an aged grey color. A few dings on the bottom of the mag tube. Receiver is mostly grey with traces of blue. Some old pitting that has been cleaned on the lever and lower tang. Serial number is faint. Stock has nice fitting wood to the crescent butt plate. Not bad fitting to the tangs either. There has been a couple repairs in the wrist area towards the upper tang. One sliver of wood missing in the upper right hand corner. The forearm is in nice overall cond. Normal use marks and a repaired crack on the left side. This gun does have a beautiful bright shiny bore. Some one did some extensive cleaning at the expense of the rifling. 45-90 is a very desirable cal in the Winchester 1886.
