ROYAL NEPALESE Brunswick Pattern Percussion MUSKET
Musket Hand Made in Nepal
Here we present an antique Royal Nepalese Brunswick Pattern Percussion Musket, which is a copy of a British Brunswick rifle. About 12,000 of these were hand made in Nepal between 1840 and 1860. The Brunswick rifle is a large caliber muzzle-loading percussion rifle manufactured for the British Army at the Royal Small Arms Factory at Enfield in the early 19th century.
The overall condition is fair. The metal surfaces are covered in a smooth, dark patina. The bore is smooth and dusty. The stock has been repaired around the lock and has a few “worm holes” near the butt plate. Patchbox is absent. The action on this musket is strong.
