Description:
Serial #209504, .38 Special, 6" barrel with a very good bore that has some mild freckling within the grooves. This is a very nice looking revolver that has matching numbers on the frame, cylinder, yoke, and extractor with the metal retaining 90-92% of the original blued finish with some minor fading on the barrel, silvering at the muzzle, mild freckling on the frame, and a thick gray turn-ring on the cylinder. Additionally, a faint “40" was scratched into the metal on the left side of the frame just below the cylinder latch thumb-piece. The hammer and trigger have vivid original color case-hardening remaining with some bright gray metal along the edges and bearing surfaces. The round front sight blade has been filed slightly to add contrast and/or brightness, while the checkered walnut S&W medallion grips, numbered to a different gun on the interior, are in very good shape with several minor handling marks, as well as some mild flattening of the points. This is a great looking M&P, in very good plus condition overall. FFL or C&R
