Description:
Serial #23956, .32 Everlasting, 30" part round/part octagon barrel with a fine, bright bore that has some mild freckling and pitting towards the breech. This rifle retains traces of the original blue along the barrel with most of the metal having turned to a mottled brown-gray patina. The frame has been cleaned to bright gray with areas of pinprick pitting here and there. The walnut forend and buttstock have numerous small handling marks, scratches, and small blemishes marring the reapplied varnish finish, as well as some with-the-grain cracks at the rear of the forend on the underside. Traces of nickel remain on the schuetzen-style buttplate, but mostly has a brown-ochre patina. The rifle is fitted with the original rear semi-buckhorn sight, and sporting front blade. The lock-up is tight and the rifle rates very good condition overall. Antique
