Description:
Serial #MO35458, .50 Caliber, 24" barrels, both with excellent, bright bores. This is a stainless steel rifle built on Savage's proven Model 10 action, and featuring their superb Accu-Trigger. The receiver and bolt exhibit some evidence of having been fired, but are otherwise in excellent condition. A T/C Hawken Hunter 3-9x scope with flip-open transparent lens covers is fitted on QD rings. The original Savage barrel was removed, but is still included, although the open sights and ramrod thimble have been removed. Currently the rifle has an unmarked, heavyweight stainless barrel installed that has no provision for attaching any sights, or any thimbles. The synthetic stock is not original and has only been partially modified to accept a ramrod. These were excellent rifles, and were among a handful of modern muzzle-loaders designed to use smokeless propellant in its original configuration.
