SALE PENDING !___ PRICE SUBSTANTIALLY REDUCED! Here is a nice example of the antique scarce large frame Colt Lightning Slide action Rifle. It is in the highly deirable scarce caliber 45- 85-265. It is a Colt pripropriatary cartridge which is interchangeable and the cartridge dimensions are identical with the Winchester 45-70 and can be safely used. It is in super good mechanical condition with all original parts - excellent unsanded /refinished wood with barely any minor handling marks. It has a very good accurate shooting condition bore. The bore is not perfect the only defect is that the grooves are frosted ( not pitted) and noticably darker than the lands which are shiny. I have owned many of these fine Lightnings and at least 7-8 of the Scarce large frame models. The blue finish has been professional restored and looks great- The picture speak for themselves. What may look lijke blehishes or wear are reflections where you can actually see the camera. It is hard to photo flat shiny surfaces due to the glare produced. The rare gun looks great as there was no rust or pits before the restoration. The action is crisp and tight s the day it was made. This caliber is extremely hard to find today in ANY condition. The picture tell the story It was a favorite out of my private collection. butit finally time for it to have a new owner. I offer a three day non firing inspection for complete satisfaction.
