Description:

“YECK” Reproduction of Civil War Rifle Musket

1950-70s Maker of Reproduction Muskets

Here we present a Reproduction Civil War Rifle-Musket, made by Mike Yeck of Dundee, Michigan circa 1960. This piece has the basic features of the Model 1861/63, the most prevalent infantry weapon on Civil War battlefields from 1861-1865.

The bottom of the barrel is marked in large letters “YECK”. The lock is marked “1863” and “U.S./SPRINGFIELD” with a federal eagle.

The overall condition is fair to good. The metal parts have a mixed patina. The markings are clear. The walnut stock is roughly finished with some doctoring around the lock inletting. The bore is mostly bright with strong rifling. The action is strong. This would make a great gun for a reenactor or a fun project.

Barrel is 40-1/2 inches.

Caliber: .58 Percussion

Overall condition as seen in photos.
