Description:
I acquired this over a decade ago from a WW2 vet's widow. Never offered for public sale until now. It is a Sauer K98 with a CE44 date and serial number of 7698g. All metal numbers match as does the stock. Has original WW2 sling and cleaning rod. Mint bore with 95% original blue with some light surface rust which would clean off. Stock has been lightly sanded with remnants of the Eagle H visible. The butt-plate is correctly blued as stated in the Book The K98k ar War, page 231. Bolt action is tight as the day it was made. No Import stamp and NO duffele-cut. You will be very pleased with this top-notch collectible K98k. The pic's will tell the story I believe. If I missed something just ask.
