Payment Types Accepted: Credit Card, Certified Check, Money Order Description: 1700s SCOTTISH Antique “INNES” Flintlock PISTOL Small, Engraved Folding Trigger Pocket Pistol Here we present an antique Innes Scottish Flintlock Pocket Pistol, made in Edinburgh, Scotland circa the late-18th Century. Per Charles E. Whitelaw, Francis Innes was “Maker to His Majesty” and listed in the Edinburgh Directory of 1773. This little pistol features a folding trigger for streamlined stowage in a pocket. Nicely engraved throughout, the left side of the frame reads “INNES”, while the right side reads “EDINR” for Edinburgh. Proof marks are located under the barrel and frame. There is a silver initial placard at the rear of the wooden grip. This would have been a very handsome pistol for self-protection in late-18th and early-19th Century Scotland! The overall condition is good. There is a smooth, dark patina on the metal surfaces. The markings are clear and legible. The bore is smooth and in good condition. The grip shows honest wear and remain in very good condition. The top jaw of the flint vice is absent. The action on this pistol is strong. Own the original!
