Allen & Wheelock Center Hammer Navy Model Percussion Revolvers were produced circa 1861-1862, with total quantity estimated at 500. 36 caliber, 6-shot round cylinder rebated at nipple end, 5" octagon barrel, walnut grips, blued finish, with casehardened hammer and trigger guard. Original finish, all matching, not import marked.
Although it is not a Colt, Remington, or Smith & Wesson, it is considered a martial piece by collectors.
