Description:
This is a rare model 60. In 1988 there were not many made with the 3 Inch standard (non full lug) barrel, and even fewer of those made with a factory Hi Polish, and this one is as new and probably unfired since leaving the factory. This revolver cannot be improved upon. I am told all of these were made for one distributor, John Javino in New York, but I cannot guarantee this. A factory letter would no doubt tell the tale. Serial range is BBN150x. Serial number is present on the butt and also on the bottom of the barrel, opposite the extractor rod when the cylinder is closed. We have seen other 3 inch guns like this in the past, but never a factory Hi Polish model such as this one. A wonderful S&W revolver and a darn scarce one!
