Description:
MP40 (Maschinenpistole 40) German machinegun, 9mm, with seven magazines.  The gun is fully operational and is in very good condition with 90% of the original bluing finish on original parts.  The bakelite components are also in fine condition.  The gun does NOT have fully-matching serial numbers.  This particular machinegun is a “tube gun”.  So what is a tube gun?  With respect to MP40s, in order to be imported into the U.S., the “tube” aka receiver tube had to be cut in half, rendering the guns nonfunctional.  Years later, the U.S. Government authorized companies to manufacture replacement receiver tubes that would restore full functionality of respective MP-40 machineguns.  Naturally, these MP-40 machineguns were registered with the BATF.

This gun is restricted as a National Firearms Act (NFA), Fully Automatic Weapon that is currently registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATF&E) that has been classified as a “Curios or Relic” as defined in 27 CFR, 478.11. These weapons are still subject to the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 478. It is the sole responsibility and obligation of the buyer to understand and comply with all the State and Federal transfer laws and restrictions that apply in their current place of residence.

The photos are high resolution, so zoom to see details.  Contact me for additional photos of any area you would like to see or see better.  The buyer pays all costs associated with the transfer of this firearm, along with shipping and insurance costs.  A class III federal firearms holder is NOT required for in-state (Virginia) purchase and transfer.  A class III federal firearms holder IS required for out-of-state transfers.
