Brand new early production Winchester 9422 Magnum fitted with hand checkered Ultra High Grade walnut from the factory. Rifle is brand new and unfired in the original numbered box complete with factory papers. Serial number indicates manufacture at Winchester's New Haven facility in 1975. The spectacular XXX stock and fore arm suggests a possible un-cataloged example that may have been a factory employee rifle that were rumored to receive extra attention during production. A beautuful and very collectible Winchester lever action known for it's excellence in design and old-school attention to detail by factory craftsmen.
