Stevens. Model Ideal No. 44. Falling block rifle. Cal. 25-20. 26" part octagon part round barrel. With a very good slightly pitted bore that has strong rifling. Barrel and block retain 90% original blue that is flaking to brown and mixing some areas of oxidation. Frame and barrel are matching. Walnut stocks rate near excellent with some light handling marks. Original buckhorn rear and silver bladed Rocky Mountain front sights nice example of this classic sporting rifle. Serial # 49753.
