Description:
14X33R caliber, 25" heavy octagon to round barrel. Trapdoor type breechloading action with the breechblock and rear tang marked "WERNDL". Iron mounts and full length walnut stock. In very fine condition with good stamps and crisp wood. Very unusual and difficult to find. These Wanzle conversions were mfg. until they had produced enough M1867 Werndl-Holub to supply the military.
